Minister to Children and Young Families
Catherine is married to Zachary Zenner and has two children, Charlie and Brodie. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and has a minor in Child Development/Psychology. Catherine began her position at FBC as an Interim Children’s Minister in August 2009, and was called as Children’s and Young Families Minister by an overwhelming vote of support from the congregation. She has served in this role since January 1, 2011. Catherine was licensed to the Gospel Ministry by FBC on November 3, 2013. She has been a member of FBC since 2007.
Catherine leads the children of our home church and community at Vacation Bible School (VBS) and an extensively planned summer of events. Ongoing opportunities include: Sunday School, ARK, Parent’s Night Out, AWANA, Upward Sports, Children’s Church, Volunteers in Preschool (VIPs), and much more. Catherine remains an active volunteer in our local school district helping in classrooms, the PTO, children’s mentoring, and reading programs. She currently serves on the board of Restoring Hope International, a non-profit agency that serves to support on going efforts for orphans in South Africa.
