September!!!  What a great month to grow closer to the Lord.  As the school year begins to heat up my prayer for you is that you see the ministry that is in front of you.  God has some major tasks in your future, but for the time being, the biggest ministry that you have in front of you are the people that you go to school with.  There are so many people in our town that desperately need to know the love of Christ and you ARE the person to tell them and show them.  You can do this on the sports fields, courts, at lunch, before school, after school, and during class.  (Just make sure that you listen to your teachers!!!)

   One way that you can minister to friends is to bring them to the LOFT on Sunday’s (9:45 AM) and Wednesday’s (6:30 PM).  We meet there regularly and if you haven’t been in the youth room lately, you need to come by and see all of the changes that we have made.  We have a lot of room for a lot of people to hear the gospel!  We have such a great time together and I really want you to make it a goal this year to be a regular attendee.

   My wife, Tricia, wants me to let you know that there will be a girl’s slumber party on Saturday September 18^th at our house!  She has a lot of fun activities planned and you will definitely want to be a part of it.  She said that you will make a big scrapbook together of all the pictures from events that we have had this summer and something tells me that there will be enough desserts to feed an army.  Since I don’t think that it is fair that girls get to have all the fun, (and I will be kicked out of my house that night anyway) we will be having a guys lock in on the same night.  Be prepared for the most fun of your life.  I can guarantee you that we will have way more fun than the girls.  Just kidding.

I’m going to be praying for all of you this month as we grow closer to the Lord as a youth group!
