Tommy Russell, a native Texan, grew up in Palestine, Texas. While attending a Youth Summer Camp as a High School student in 1993 Tommy gave his life to Christ. Shortly after becoming a Christ-Follower, Tommy felt the Lord’s calling to serve in full-time ministry. Over the past 21 years Tommy has served in many roles within the Ministry, never losing sight of God’s calling. He believes that the local church is the hope of the world and is humbled to serve God and His church. He has a passion to teach the Word of God. Tommy’s desire is to see those far from God find new life in Jesus and follow Him faithfully as they point others to Jesus. Besides serving in the local church, Tommy was honored to serve in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout from 1996 to 2004. Even while serving in the military he continued to find ways to serve the local church in the base Chapel both in garrison and while deployed.
