First Baptist’s AWANA Club for the 2025-2026 school year runs from September 3, 2025 through April 29, 2026.

What is it?  The name Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.  AWANA is an international, non-denominational program to help churches and parents raise children and youth who know, love, and serve Christ. It emphasizes scripture learning, at a self-paced rate, in an exciting weekly program led by trained adults and using creative handbooks.

Who can participate?  First Baptist’s AWANA Club is open to children 3&4 years old, (fully potty-trained), through 6th grade.  The AWANA program is set so that children are working at memorizing and understanding scripture, in a self-paced manner, with adult leadership.

When and where is it held?  Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30 pm, following our local school calendar, from September through April.  AWANA Club is held at First Baptist Church, 1407 E Main St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
